I was baking my first cake ever and gingerly put the ingredients into the bowl.My dad said it needed a little more ginger.The cake was a polka dot cake, a sponge cake which had a yellow rim . We went to a professional baker and we discovered that it was the perfect amount of ginger.It was remarkable said my mum when the professional informed us that it was a perfect cake.I went on to make buns and cakes for my family. I also entered baking competitions and got first place in one of them.However sport is still my favourite pastime.
That sounds like a scrumptious recipe Ross; I think I might give a go (although I’m not quite sure how I’ll make the polka dots – any ideas?). I wonder what the recipe was that won first prize?
