One ,cold wet night the lights were flickering on and off frequently.   Then suddenly all the lights went out. My mam rang my dad to come home. When my dad got home he said it was a tornado. I didn’t know what that was but it sounded dangerous. My dad also discovered when he checked the fuse box that the main fuse for the lights that had blown.  My dad had to ring his friend who was an electrician and luckily he had one. The weather was so bad that my dad’s friend hat to stay with us until morning as it was too dangerous to drive.
