Last summer I went to a Medieval Festival in France  . There was a man making steel swords. There was a pig, a goat , a horse and a chicken in the petting area. We fed the horse carrots and we fed the chicken some seeds. We got our photo taken under an old guillotine. My sister was shaking and tearful because she was scared that her head was going to get chopped off. There were people dressed up in lovely old costumes and the colours were so nice: red, mauve, silver and gold. We had a wonderful day.

I was tearful when my Dad told me that he would have to take down one of the walls of my bedroom to make my sister’s room bigger. He had a surprise for me. I asked him if it was  a carrot for taking my small room away? He said, “maybe”. I put him under pressure to tell me. I was delighted to learn that I was to  get a new room in the extension. He had to put in a steel beam to support the roof when my wall was taken away. When everything was finished I got to paint my room a mauve colour.

Billys Great escape

Billy was a very clever goat . He had escaped twice already. He was sick of carrots and had figured out how to lift the latch on the heavy steel gate and butt his way out.He went under Mrs. Fleet’s hedge and headed straight to the vegetable patch. Mrs.Fleet was so proud of her prize-winning vegetables: cabbages, onions , potatoes etc. Billy trotted past rows and rows of vegetables but had his eyes on a different treat. Mrs.Fleet was  very tearful to discover that her favourite  pair of mauve knickers, hanging on the clothesline, had been gobbled up by Billy.

A long time ago under a big, tall and wide oak tree there lived a family of rabbits. They really loved eating carrots and mauve-coloured flowers . They loved hopping through the meadows. They were the happiest rabbits in the world. Then one night there was a storm. The sky turned grey. The rabbits went out of the burrow. Big steel pieces were blowing from the buildings in the city. It messed up everything. The flowers were gone and the carrots were gone. The poor rabbits were tearful. They sat under the big oak tree and thought about what had happened.

Oisin

There once was a girl called Chloe and on Christmas Eve she was very excited.

                                             Over in the North Pole:

Santa was in a hurry. “Come on lads, lets go”. Santa in his steel sleigh went as fast as light. Everyone was waiting for the best day ever and Santa was under pressure. “Hurry up Rudolf!” said Santa. Rudolf was powered by carrots. Over and under they went and when they went too fast a present fell out. “Down”, shouted Santa. The present was a mauve bike. It was Chloe’s bike.” She is going to be so tearful when there are no presents under the tree! What will we do?”

One day I went to collect carrots from the field behind our house. I climbed over the steel gate at the back of our garden. It was very muddy so I ran back and got my wellies . When I got to the field I started picking carrots quickly. I heard a whimper. I looked under a bush and there was the cutest puppy ever, trapped under the thorn bush! He was tearful and had a badly cut leg. I ran back to the house and I got some gardening clippers and a mauve blanket. I cut him free and  brought him to the vet who found his owner.
